Property Analysis Inputs: Property details you enter for analysis (price, city, locality, RERA number, etc.). These are stored to generate and display your reports.

Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, dates of access. We use this to improve the Service.

Payment Information: Billing details are processed by Razorpay (India) or Stripe (international). We do not store full credit/debit card information on our servers.

• To provide and maintain the Service, including generating property analysis reports

• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, subscription updates, report delivery)
• To improve our AI scoring models and intelligence engine

3. Data Sources

RealScan accesses publicly available data from MahaRERA (Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority), Google Maps API, and other publicly accessible sources. This data includes project registration details, construction progress, complaint history, and other regulatory filings that are part of the public record. We do not access any private or confidential property records.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate the platform:

• Payment Processors: Razorpay (India) and Stripe (International) for secure payment processing
• AI Providers: OpenAI (GPT-4o) for generating AI analysis and narratives (property data only, no personal user data)
• Infrastructure Providers: Cloud hosting (AWS/GCP) and database services for platform operations
• Error Monitoring: Sentry for application error tracking and performance monitoring
• Email Services: Transactional email providers for account and report notifications

All third-party providers are bound by strict data processing agreements and compliance requirements.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• Encrypted transmission: All data transmitted via HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Password security: Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with salt
• Authentication: Secure token-based authentication (JWT) with expiry

While we implement strong security measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but continuously monitor and improve our practices.

6. Data Retention

Your account data and generated reports are retained for as long as you maintain an active account. Upon account deletion request, your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized analytical data (with no personally identifiable information) may be retained for service improvement and statistical purposes. Financial records related to payments are retained for 7 years as required by Indian law.

Under Indian data protection regulations (including the Information Technology Act, 2000), you have the following rights:

RealScan operates primarily in India and our data is stored on servers located in India. If you are accessing our service from outside India, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in India where our servers and central database are located. By using RealScan, you consent to this transfer.
